At the High-Level Interregional Tourism Forum for Europe–Asia, organized jointly with UN Tourism on 11-14 October in Podgorica, Montenegro, Azerbaijan was represented by Kanan Aliyev, Head of the Office of the State Tourism Agency.

The European–Asia Interregional High-Level Tourism Forum, organized by the Ministry of Tourism of Montenegro in cooperation with UN Tourism, was held in Podgorica on 11–14 October. Azerbaijan was represented at the event by Kanan Aliyev, Head of the Staff of the State Tourism Agency.
The forum brings the tourism agendas of Europe and Asia together at one table. Such events create opportunities for countries to participate in and present themselves within interregional tourism flows.
For Azerbaijan, this format is important in terms of contact with markets that affect occupancy in the hotel and guesthouse segment. The country's representation at the forum does not yet mean a concrete result: the signal does not indicate which agreement or commitment was undertaken.
