Generator plans to double the number of hotels by 2030
Generator, which operates in European cities, aims to increase its number of properties from 15 to 30-40 by 2030. CEO Xavier Mufraggi explains this as the expansion of an affordable lifestyle hospitality model.

The Generator hotel chain, operating in major European cities, plans to increase its number of properties from 15 to 30-40 by 2030. The company's CEO, Xavier Mufraggi, spoke about this in an interview.
Generator mainly serves solo travelers, and 70 percent of these guests are women. For this reason, the company prioritizes safety and opportunities for social connection. Mufraggi stated that the model applies a minimum price threshold to maintain quality.
The chain also plans to introduce a new offering called Generator Europe Pass, which allows uninterrupted travel across various cities. As part of the expansion, 11 existing properties are set to be renovated and 3 new properties added. The company is owned by Brookfield.
In Azerbaijan, this approach could be interesting for hotels and guesthouses focused on urban tourism: the solo traveler guest segment, especially female travelers, brings the demand for safety and a social environment to the forefront. Tying the price threshold to quality, meanwhile, is a noteworthy approach in terms of revenue management for properties positioned in the budget segment.
