Azerbaijan is participating in the CIMX 2026 business tourism exhibition in Beijing

The Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau is participating with a national stand at the "China International MICE Exchange" exhibition (CIMX 2026), held in Beijing on November 3-5. The stand is presented together with Azerbaijan Airlines, Absheron Hotel Group and a number of tourism companies.

According to the Bureau's statement, the purpose of the participation is to expand ties with representatives of the business tourism industry, explore new cooperation opportunities and promote the country as a destination for international events. Azerbaijan's Ambassador to China, Bunyad Huseynov, also visited the national stand.

Prior to the exhibition, on November 2, the Bureau's official representative office in Beijing organized a meeting between representatives of the Chinese and Azerbaijani business tourism industries. At the meeting, information was provided on Azerbaijan's business tourism infrastructure and event venues, and the development of tourism products tailored to the requirements of the Chinese market and prospects for cooperation were discussed.

In January-September 2026, the number of visitors from China to Azerbaijan increased by 4.4 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 52,115 people. In September alone, this figure reached 11,049 people, an increase of 28 percent.
