TÜRSAB will organize an info tour for Antandros and Mount Ida

The Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) will organize an info tour in April and May 2027 to promote the tourism potential of the ancient city of Antandros and Mount Ida, located in the Edremit district of Balıkesir. The visits, to be carried out by TÜRSAB leadership with the participation of travel agencies, envisage a broad presentation of the region's tourism opportunities.

The exact route of the tour, the number of participants and the program details have not yet been disclosed. What is known is that the event aims to introduce the excavation site and the mountainous area.

Such info tours are usually the first step toward including lesser-known destinations in tour operators' catalogs. Archaeological sites such as Antandros and nature zones such as Mount Ida can increase the length of time guests spend on their itinerary.

For the Azerbaijani market, this means the formation of new routes beyond the familiar destinations on Turkey's Aegean coast (İzmir, Çeşme, Ayvalık). For hotel and guesthouse owners, the result usually shows up in agencies' package offers — an increase in the flow of visitors to the region makes itself felt a few months after the tour.
