Turkish hotels stayed out of the mass compensation process against Booking.com
The planned collective compensation initiative in Türkiye against Booking.com's former price parity rules will not move forward due to insufficient hotel participation.

The mass compensation initiative planned to be launched in Türkiye against the price parity rules previously applied by Booking.com will not go ahead due to insufficient hotel participation. One of the reasons the process stalled was hotels' concern about experiencing problems in their commercial relations with Booking.com.
Another point that became a topic of discussion is that TÜROB, TÜROFED and regional hotel associations did not provide sufficient support for HOTREC's call. In other words, the matter depended not only on the decisions of individual hotels but also on the position of sector associations.
The specific relevance of this news for the Azerbaijani market is that mass hotel participation is considered decisive for a collective legal step against international booking platforms — when participation is low, the process itself also comes to a halt.
