The key issue in hotel security is the integration of systems
An opinion piece published on HospitalityNet states that isolated security systems create blind spots in hotels and waste approximately 78 minutes of a manager's time per shift.

The author of an opinion piece published on HospitalityNet believes that solving the security problem in hotels lies not so much in buying more technology as in integrating existing systems with one another.
According to the article, when access control, video surveillance, occupancy data and network systems operate separately, blind zones emerge in management. As a result, on every shift a manager spends approximately 78 minutes searching for and reconciling data across different systems.
The approach proposed by the author is to combine these data flows into a single operations center. In that case, instead of reacting to an incident, the hotel gains the ability to foresee and prevent it.
For hotels in Azerbaijan, this means that before spending the security budget on new devices, it may be more efficient to check whether the existing access, camera and network systems can talk to one another.
