Demand for tourism from China to Turkey is rising, while fixed package prices put hotels in a difficult position
Chinese tourists' interest in Türkiye is growing, but pre-set package tour prices create financial risk for hotels and hosting agencies.

Demand for tourism from China to Türkiye is rising. However, package tour prices fixed long in advance create a new cost risk for Turkish hotels and incoming agencies — turizmgazetesi.com writes about this.
The essence of the issue is as follows: when the costs of hotel, transfer, guiding and other local services rise after the sales price has already been set, parties working with Chinese groups cannot go beyond the pre-agreed amount. In other words, revenue stays fixed while costs increase.
This means margin pressure, especially for hotels operating in long-chain package sales. Although the Chinese market is attractive in terms of volume, locking in the price at an early stage makes profitability dependent on external factors.
The same logic applies to Baku hotels and local tour operators: when accepting group tours from distant source markets, the cost-increase buffer must be taken into account in advance when setting the package price.
