Azerbaijan was represented at the HOTREC and Hotelstars meetings in Vilnius

Azerbaijan was represented at the 93rd General Assembly of the European Hotel, Restaurant and Cafe Associations Association (HOTREC) and the 12th General Assembly of the Hotelstars Union (HSU), held in Vilnius, Lithuania, on October 12-14.

HOTREC is the main association uniting the hotel, restaurant and cafe sector in Europe; Hotelstars Union determines the star classification of hotels with unified criteria. The holding of the two meetings in Vilnius on the same days shows that classification and sector policy in the European hotel market are being consolidated into a single agenda.

Azerbaijan's participation in these platforms is a signal in terms of the commitment of the country's hotels to the international classification system. For Baku and regional hotels working with foreign guest flow, the compliance of the star category with European standards affects visibility on booking platforms.
