Azerbaijan will host the Snow Polo World Cup for the first time. The "Snow Polo World Cup Azerbaijan-2027" tournament will take place from February 19 to 21, 2027, at the Shahdag Tourism Center.
In the three-day competition, teams representing four countries will compete for the cup. The names of the participating countries and the composition of the program have not yet been announced.
Snow polo is a rare format played on snow and usually organized at mountain resorts. Such events generate a multi-day influx of guests and affect hotel occupancy.
For Shahdag, this means an international sports event in February — the quietest period of the season. For hotels and guesthouses in the Guba-Gusar direction, the main issue will be accommodating the teams, organizers and spectators.
