Azerbaijan held a presentation in the Czech tourism market: guests from the Czech Republic increased by 10.5%

According to the Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency, the country's tourism opportunities were presented on 19–20 October in Prague and Brno, Czech Republic, as part of the AVIAREPS Around the World Roadshow 2026. The purpose of the meetings was to promote Azerbaijan in the Czech tourism market, showcase the country's tourism products and establish new business contacts.

Within the framework of the program, meetings were held with approximately 40 Czech travel agents and tour operators. They were provided with information about Baku's historical and modern landmarks, Sheki's cultural heritage, the Great Silk Road routes, as well as the country's skiing and hiking tourism opportunities. Particular attention was focused on expanding cooperation with Czech operators and increasing tourism routes.

Among the advantages of visiting Azerbaijan, AZAL's direct Prague–Baku flights and the e-visa option for Czech citizens were noted. According to the Agency, in January–September 2026, the number of Czech citizens visiting Azerbaijan increased by 10.5% compared to the same period last year.

For hotels and guesthouses in Baku and the regions, this indicates a growing flow of guests from Central Europe. Although the Czech market is small in volume, the existence of a direct flight and the ease of the e-visa make this direction worth evaluating — especially for properties offering tour packages along the Sheki and Silk Road routes.
