The Action Plan between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom for 2026-2027 covers more than 60 events across 10 areas. According to Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, cooperation is also developing in agriculture, food security, education, culture and tourism.

At the 8th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Action Plan for 2026-2027 was discussed. According to the speech of Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, the document covers more than 60 measures across 10 areas and serves as a roadmap for the upcoming period.
The minister stated that cooperation is also developing steadily in the fields of agriculture, food security, education, culture and tourism. According to him, the main task is to turn agreements into concrete results.
Shahbazov also noted the preparation of a separate roadmap on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data centers and human capital development, as well as the implementation of joint academic programs with leading British universities, as areas that could give practical substance to cooperation.
For hotels and guesthouses, this is primarily related to the tourism and education channel: the flow of guests from the British market and staff training programs may expand over the next two years. However, the plan is still at the level of a list of measures — no specific project, amount or date has been disclosed.
