Financing and season extension were discussed at the Antalya tourism fair
The Antalya Tourism Fair has gathered tourism professionals from more than 100 countries for the eighth time. At the opening, the cost and geopolitical pressures of 2026, the financing of tourism investments and the extension of the season across 12 months came to the fore.

The Antalya Tourism Fair (ATF26) was held for the eighth time and brought together tourism professionals from more than 100 countries. At the opening, the cost and geopolitical pressures of 2026, the financing of tourism investments, competition on digital platforms, fair tourism and the extension of the season to 12 months were noted as the main topics.
İş Bankası announced that it has allocated 2.5 billion dollars in financing to the tourism sector over the last 2.5 years. Sector representatives drew attention to Antalya's potential to become an international trade center.
Two points in this agenda are of interest for Azerbaijan: the extension of the season to 12 months and the financing of hotel investments. Guesthouse, hotel and restaurant projects in Baku and the regions are often designed for a short summer season; formats that maintain occupancy during the winter months (conference, health and gastronomy tours) increase financial sustainability. The terms of access to bank financing for hotel renovation and expansion projects must be clarified in advance.
